What will it cost?

Answer a few taps and get a price range on screen. No form, no waiting, no phone call first.

You have probably had this happen

Most people calling us are not calling first. They are calling after.

The no-show

A morning taken off work, a four-hour window, and nobody arrives. No call, no message, no explanation.

The quote that moves

A number agreed on the doorstep, then an invoice with things on it nobody mentioned.

The mess left behind

The leak stops, and you spend the evening cleaning up after the person you paid to fix it.

Old buildings, old drains

Cast-iron waste in an older Miami Beach or Coral Gables building does not fail politely. It backs up, it weeps behind tile, and a quick patch buys you weeks, not years.

Hard water, quietly

South Florida water is hard on fixtures. Scale shortens the life of a water heater and seizes the valves you only touch in an emergency.

Hurricane season

The week before a storm is the worst week to discover your main shut-off is seized and nobody knows where it is.

So here is what we do instead

We show up.

We quote in writing.

We leave it cleaner than we found it.

We are British plumbers. We trained in a trade where turning up on time, writing the price down, and leaving a house clean are not selling points — they are the job. That is what moved to Miami with us, and every installation is completed to Florida Building Code.

What you can hold us to

Scope
Two trades: plumbing and property maintenance. We don't pretend to be electricians, and we will tell you when a job wants someone else.
Written quotes
Every price in writing before work starts — what is included, what is not, and what would change the number. No doorstep figures.
The call-out
Free if the work goes ahead. You are not paying us to come and look at it.
Tidy site
Floors protected before we start, old parts taken away, and the work tested before we leave.
Code
Every installation completed to Florida Building Code. British standards cover finish, process and care — code is code.

The British difference

We spent nineteen years in the London trade before moving to Miami in 2020. London plumbing is old, tight, and unforgiving — you work in buildings where a mistake shows up in somebody else’s flat, so you learn to plan the job, protect the space, and check your own work before anyone asks.

Florida is a different climate, different code and different materials. The standard we hold ourselves to did not change.

How a job runs

  1. You tell us the job Through the form or WhatsApp, with a photo if you have one. A photo of the leak and the pipework around it usually tells us what to bring.
  2. We quote in writing Before anything starts. What is included, what is not, and what would change the price. No doorstep numbers.
  3. We turn up and do it At the time we said. Floors protected, work done to Florida Building Code, and we tell you straight away if we find something behind the wall.
  4. We clean up and check it Tested, tidied, and the old parts taken away or left with you.

The details nobody checks

Clipped pipework, straight sealant, a valve you can actually reach. This is what British finish means in practice, and it looks the same whether anyone looks or not.

  • A fresh line of silicone run along the edge of a bath, straight and unbroken.

From a shower head to a Miami Beach rebuild

Both ends of that range are real work, and both get the same procedure.

The small job

A dripping faucet, a running toilet, a shower head, a blocked waste. Half an hour of work that has been annoying you for a year. Send the whole list — one visit with eight jobs on it beats three visits with one.

The full package

Underground, rough-in, top-out, trim-out and handover on a multi-million-dollar rebuild, coordinated to a General Contractor’s program and presented ready for inspection.

Questions we get asked

Do you charge for a quote?

No. Tell us about the job and you get a written quote before anything starts — what is included, what is not, and what would change the price.

Are you licensed?

Licensed plumbing work is carried out by a licensed Florida contractor, Lic. #CFC1433820. BritFix manages the job, the quote and the paperwork, and stays your point of contact throughout. All plumbing work is completed to Florida Building Code.

Which areas do you cover?

Miami-Dade is our core area. We also cover the surrounding South Florida region, including Broward, for planned work rather than emergency call-outs.

Do you handle emergencies?

Yes. If water is coming in, close your main shut-off first — that matters more than any call-out — then send us a message with a photo. Tell us how urgent it is and we will be straight with you about when we can get there.

Do you work with General Contractors?

Regularly. Underground and rough-in through top-out, trim-out and handover, coordinated to your program and presented ready for inspection.

Tell us about the job

Send the details and we come back to you with a written quote. No call center, no runaround.
